The 2023 MLB Opening Day saw eight former Tigers players appearing in the roster for different teams.

DJ LeMahieu, a former second baseman for the Tigers, is now an infielder for the New York Yankees. He won the AL batting title in 2020 and was a three-time All-Star while playing for the Tigers.

Aaron Nola, a former Tigers pitcher, is now a pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies. He was a first-round pick for the Tigers in 2014.
